Weekend Recap: 4 Pre-Christmases

Happy Christmas week, everyone!! I hope you all get some time off work to celebrate with family and friends!  My last day until the new year is today because my boss is the best!!

I hope you all had a great weekend.  Here's what we were up to:

Thursday: After work, we drove down to Rhode Island to my parents' house for dinner.  We won't be there on actual Christmas this year [they're coming to us... yaaayyy!!], so thought it would be fun to have dinner with them and see their Christmas decorations again.  My mom made us baked stuffed shrimp [recipe coming soon!!] - they were delicious!!

Friday: After another day of work, Mike and I drove up to Boston.  My three roommates from senior year of college and I have 25th birthdays within a month and a half of each other, so we celebrated this weekend as our "centennial."  It was fantastic to see everyone!

Saturday: The fun continued with my college friends as we went on a Sam Adams Brewery Tour.  I'd definitely suggest it to anyone in the Boston area; our tour group was so small that we got to sample tons of beer...needless to say I got drunk for the second time in a little over 12 hours...whoops.  As we left the brewery, there was a party trolley to take us to Doyle's Cafe down the street for some more Sam Adams drinks.  Mike and I tried their cider - it was really good!

Saturday Part 2: We left Boston in the evening and headed back to CT for Mike's best man's family Christmas party.  I know I've written about it in the past (actually, it was our third year going!), but seriously it's amazing: the lights, the food, the company!  We even brought Amanda with us this year, so she can second the awesomeness.

Sunday: I hosted a Holiday Party for my girls at work.  We played golf, did a Yankee Swap, made healthy snacks [fruit pizzas!], and decorated mugs.

Linking up for This Weekend I... and Monday Funday!

The one thing (well, one of many) that we really missed in Boston was the brewery. Next time!
