Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Maybe it was that we have our pretty pink and red Valentine's Day decorations up or maybe it's the fact that our apartment was SUPER clean before Mike's dad got here to visit, but for some reason, I was on a roll this week taking photos.  I used a bunch in this post and thought it'd be fun to scroll over to Ashley's blog to see what this week's prompts for Scavenger Hunt Sunday were. I found all five them right in my living room throughout the week.  Enjoy:

On the lovely Valentine's Day card from my parents

The only day my hair has ever held a curl: our wedding day.  Also, what's funny is the last time I did one of these, we were just about as evenly far away from our wedding as we are now.  I couldn't just put away my wedding tally after the wedding, so I changed it to "days until I'm since I've been Mrs. Taylor."

Pattern:

Patterns on pillows, lamp shades (yes, that one still has the tag on it... it's getting returned for a different pattern ;) ), and even photo frames.

My View:

My typical lunch on days off: my favorite salad (coming soon to a blog near you!) and English muffin pizza.  

Love:

Makeup, candles, roses - all things I'm loving. 

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

I haven't done one of these in almost a year, but I always love looking at Ashley's photos.  When I saw this week's prompts, they really excited me; I had to get my Canon out and participate.  Here are my takes for this week's Scavenger Hunt:
Neglected: I was given this great countdown board by my fabulous bloggy friend, Annalee, in a blog swap but I have to admit, I only remember to update it like once every two weeks.  I think right now, we are at about 159 days!

Signs of Spring: Our tulips are finally starting to come up!

Last Thing You Bought: I know I already shared these this week, but these were the last thing I bought and I am just in love with my wedding shoes!

Shadow: If you're around these parts often, you know that our cat is named Shadow, so I took a different take on this prompt: Shadow in the sunlight.

Four Things: As many of you know, if there is a photo in a blog post of Shadow, there also has to be one of Roxy [equal opportunity!!].  I thought at first I would take one of her four little paws, but as she was sitting in the window, she started making her barking noise to the birds [as seen here] and I took four great shots of her in the sunlight.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday: Crazy Cat Lady

I was so excited when I saw that all of Ashley's prompts for this week were "Photographer's Choice."  I've been looking for an excuse to post all of the cat photos I've been storing up lately!  You might have seen this photo I put on IG this morning:

Yeah, that's the best I can do of Roxy and Merp together.  Seriously, this time of year they are always looking at birds and bugs out the window or chasing after something.  
1. Roof cat

I know I've said before how obsessed Roxy is with the roof.  This was from earlier this spring.

2. The beggar

Merp begs all the time!  When you're cooking, he stands on his back legs and meows for a piece of anything!

3. Morning sunlight

This is their favorite place - there are so many birds in that tree.

4. Begging: Part 2

Yeah, he doesn't just beg for food.  He's an attention hog, too.  His little perch is right at shoulder height, so every time you walk by, you just have to rub that belly.

5. Cameo Cat

How cute is this little guy?!  Mike's aunt just picked him up yesterday!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday: Vegas Edition

When I was on the plane Wednesday, I caught up on a ton of old blog posts.  When I saw Ashley's prompts for this week, I immediately thought Las Vegas would be perfect for them!  Here is a little preview of the first half of my trip in accordance with the topics, I can't wait to show you more when I get home.

A couple of coaches and I played at the Callaway Golf Center on Thursday night - a lighted golf course adjacent to the airport and strip: loudest round of golf ever. 

3. Comfort

Came back to my room after a long day of training and found my bed and sweatshirt just waiting to hug me.

4. In the Kitchen

Loving the full kitchen in the hotel... but this is all I've bought to fill it.

5. Trees

The trees directly outside my hotel - where plane also fly over about every 50 seconds.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday: St. Paddy's Day

If you didn't guess by my name [my real name is Meghan], I am Irish.  Well, Northern Irish, but I still celebrate with the best of them! I loved these prompts for the Scavenger Hunt, especially since I hosted a St. Patrick's Day themed birthday party!

Just a small part of a great swap package I received this weekend!  Can't wait to share the rest of it next week.

Short story for this one: Last time we lost power for a week, I found myself sitting at our dining room table doodling pictures [in the dark] of our china cabinet and different things in the house on envelopes.  I was pretty proud of myself, so I put this one on the wall sconce next to our front door... it's been there ever since haha.

Valentine

Made and mailed some Valentine's Day cards for friends, family members, and Mike's goddaughters this weekend!

Work of Art

It is. For sure. Every time we go to Chili's [in addition to getting this] we ALWAYS bring a molten lava cake home.  That way we can enjoy it when we're not so full!
