Lilly After Party Sale Favorites

Good morning afternoon, friends! My Monday post is up a little late today because it's Lilly After Party Sale, and I wanted to wait until the craziness died down a bit to share my favorites. With how quickly items sell out, I didn't want to share a list that you wouldn't be able to shop from in an hour. That being said, I imagine some of these items will sell out, and I'll update that over the next two days, along with inevitable additions to the sale!  Overall, I was thrilled with the sale this time around.  Things didn't disappear out of my cart as quickly as they had in the past, and I loved all the Luxletic pieces they offered!
popover (almost 10 patterns available!) ||| luxletic cropped leggings ||| marlowe boat-neck 3/4 sleeve (they also have short-sleeve options here)

luxletic sports bra ||| girls infinity scarf (I love the girls' scarves because they're a little lighter for SC weather - and less expensive!) ||| luxletic skort (these are great for running, tennis, and golf - plus, they have a cell phone pocket in the shorts)

navy and gold shift (awesome price for this one) ||| v-neck tee (this one is $14!) ||| elsa (these always sell out so quickly in the sale, but there are still 10+ styles in stock)

Dreaming of Flamingos

Does anyone else clean like crazy before they leave for vacation?  Seriously, all I want to do when I walk in the door after a trip is sit down and relax (followed by about 5 loads of laundry).  There is nothing better than coming back to a clean house, except maybe a fun package!  Put those two things together, and you have my perfect day.
When we got back from our trip to the Northeast last week, there was a pretty little package waiting for me from Sant & Abel!  My awesome friend, Erika, tagged me in a giveaway of theirs earlier this summer, and I have since loved following along with their social media.  Seriously, how cute are these flamingos and palms?!
Now, after a twelve-day trip that took us 1,200 miles and through seven states, I need a vacation from my vacation.  I wish it was a tropical getaway like my pajamas, but give me my comfy bed, a book, and some coffee, and I'm a happy lady!

A Walk Before the Storm

It's certainly summer in Charleston.  Each afternoon, the storms roll in, the blue skies turn gray, and we get a good soaking.  Last Friday, we went for a walk on Isle of Palms, watching the storms in the distance, looming.  Everyone was packing up on the beach, and we got the beach all to ourselves.
I just love this city!  It might be 90+ degrees everyday, but I'll take it to get to enjoy this scenery everyday.
Also, can I just tell y'all how obsessed I am with these new sunnies?  They are so comfortable, and have the perfect amount of wrap-around to block out light from all angles.  Nope, this isn't sponsored (though I did link to them below); I just wanted to share one of my current favorite things.  Funny story, they're totally "men's" sunglasses - any other ladies love how much better "men's" glasses fit?!  Mike and I went out to dinner, and I left my sunglasses on the table.  The hostess ran out after us, "sir! sir! you forgot your..." as Mike is putting his own glasses on his eyes, "oh, ma'am... your glasses!" LOL

Red, White, and Blue For You

Only ten more shopping days before Independence Day!  When I was little, wearing the brightest red, white, and blue clothes I could find (usually with wildly different patterns for shirts and shorts) was my favorite on the 4th of July.  Not a whole lot has changed, and I always love seeing what fun screen-printed designs stores have for the summer holiday.  I've rounded up a bunch of my favorites, whether you need a colorful tee for the beach or a clutch to match your picnic look!

Meowica tank - If you buy this, you clearly also need the Americat leggings!

Tassel tote - Your perfect beach bag!

Barbie halter - I love this entire Missguided collection (check out the jean dress and swimsuit, too!)

Earrings

Jack Rogers - These were just released, and they look perfect for the occasion!

Baseball tee - I don't care if it's a million degrees out, I love comfy baseball tees!  If you aren't a MLB fan, here's this simple striped one, too.

Maxis in May

Yes, I know it's June, but as you can probably tell from the Confederate Jasmine in bloom, these photos are from a couple of weeks ago.  How am I doing, right?!  The morning these were taken (by my lovely friend Priscilla), it was the perfect spring day.  The humidity wasn't too high, and it was just barely overcast.  We're now up to 90+ degrees on the regular in June, and I swear that there have been lightning storms every night for the past 2 weeks - welcome to summertime in Charleston!
This stroll took us through the South of Broad neighborhood of the peninsula.  I've decided that I want to try and be better about sharing where in Charleston I take photos.  I always see bloggers in their cities at these beautiful locations, and I always wonder where they are (so I can go there, too!).  This walk actually started with a tip from @kristinchambless about the beautiful house you'll see in the last photo of this post, overflowing with Confederate Jasmine.  We started there, around 50 Church Street, zig-zagged down Church, across Water Street and through one of my favorite little courtyards, all the way down to the corner of Atlantic Street to this beautiful home with the exposed brick, window boxes, and hurricane bolts
Now for my dress: if you know me in person, you know that I don't go shopping for clothes often, and when I do, it's typically to Target or the outlets.  I can count on one hand finger how many times I've gone shopping (not online) this year.  My most-recent trip was to the outlets and my favorite spot for maxi dresses: Loft Outlet.  The Ann Inc. brand has the best shopping for petite clothing from Ann Taylor, to Loft, and obviously Loft Outlet.  Did you see that you'll soon be able to shop online with Loft Outlet?  Yup, now I'll never need to "go" shopping!

Here are my earrings (c/o) and my pineapple sandals.

Wedding Guest Dresses Under $150

Happy Monday, friends!  This weekend, Mike and I attended our second wedding of the year, for his best friend's little sister.  Oh my gosh, it was the most beautiful wedding, and I will definitely be sharing some photos soon!  Would you believe that this year, we have seven weddings?!  At the beginning of the year, I joked that I should wear the same dress for each of them and take a photo with Mike in his ever-changing suits and tuxes.  Well, the weddings vary between formal and casual, so I decided I couldn't do that, so a different dress for every wedding it is.  Oh my, can it get expensive!  I've been LOVING Nordstrom for dresses I can wear once (and not feel bad about it).  My goal (for a dress I think I'll only wear once this year) is $150 or less.  I've rounded up a bunch of formal dress options as well as more casual choices for y'all today, if you're getting ready for wedding season, too!

Springtime in Charleston: Favorite Front Doors

It has been the most beautiful weekend in Charleston.  My college golf teammates are here, and we are exploring every part of the city we can.  This time of year might be my absolute favorite for walking around the city.  It's something about how the pastel homes and colorful blooms go together - I just love it!  Last month, I shared some of my favorite flowers around the city, and today is all about my must-see homes.  They aren't just the backdrop for Charleston photos, but they're all so unique and pretty that they deserve to be front and center!
Charleston seriously has everything: brick homes and walls, iron gates, beautiful wooden doors, historical gas lanterns, and every paint color of the rainbow!
