A Few More Birthday Things

Thank you so much to everyone who wished me happy birthday on Monday!  I'm glad y'all enjoyed all the random things about me - haha!  I had a lot of fun celebrating - thank you to all my friends and husband for the best day(s).

Birthday things began on Sunday when Mike invited all of our kickball friends over for a football and Ryder Cup viewing party.  We grilled, played lawn games, and strategized about the upcoming season.  One of my friends even brought me the cutest cake ever!
After work on Monday, I met up with some blogger ladies at The Cocktail Club for a few drinks.  Of course, I also had to order my favorite, the bacon spice popcorn.  Instead of butter, the popcorn is sprinkled with bacon fat as well as brown sugar and cayenne pepper - yum!  We sat out on their rooftop, and it was the perfect evening for it.
Afterwards, Mike picked me up for a surprise dinner.  He picked 167 Raw, my favorite seafood spot in the city!  Rose, shrimp cocktail, and a lobster roll - yum!!
How cute is the King Street mug he bought me for my desk at work?!  Today, I'm enjoying a birthday donut and some tea for breakfast as we wait for Hurricane Matthew.  Any positive vibes sent down to the Southeastern coast would really be appreciated.

That popcorn is on my list if I ever make it back out to Charleston!! Are you guys directly in the path of the hurricane? I've only been paying attention (bad me) to the Punta Cana area bc my sister is set to leave on her honeymoon in a few weeks and she's starting to worry about it and if it will even happen.

The cake is beautiful! Almost as beautiful as the night looked for your birthday night at Cocktail Club! Love their rooftop. Hope you're still celebration your birth-WEEK! Just as important as the birthday ;)

Stay safe with Matthew! I've been hearing crazy stories from some of our friends down there who have been evacuating. Sending lots of prayers that way.
