Brunch Essentials: The Perfect French Toast

Happy Friday!  What are y'all up to this weekend?  My absolute favorite Saturday starts with some Food Network and a cup of tea while I decide what that morning's brunch will be.  During the week, I maybe grab a piece of fruit out of the fridge or toast up a frozen waffle.  I save all my morning cooking energy for Saturdays, where my only motto is: the more carbs, the better.  Pancakes, muffins, bagels, doughnuts, French toast: I don't discriminate.  Well, I have officially found it, the best French toast recipe around.  Well, my bff Amanda found it and shared it with us last time she was here, and it is now my go-to.  Here is the link to the fantastic recipe.  The only change we made was to substitute the suggested challah bread for cinnamon raisin bread.  This is by far my favorite French toast bread!
For the ideal brunch, I suggest a batch of Makes-You-Fuzzy Navels or Mocha Chip Frozen Coffee as well as my favorite German Pork Schnitzel for the "lunch" portion of the best meal of the week!

YUM! I save my morning cooking efforts for the weekend too, and don't hold back! A nice hot carb filled breakfast and mimosas are the perfect way to ring in the weekend. Happy Friday gurlie <3

Weekend brunch is the best! It's hard for us to squeeze it in on the weekends during football season so we've started "brunching" at 7am on Friday mornings. Not quite the same when you can't have a bellini with it! But I'm with you - the more carbs, the better.
