pumpkin swap reveal

this was my first ever swap!  "it's the great pumpkin swap" was a ton of fun and it was cool to learn that my partner, amanda, lived less than an hour from me!  what a small world, right?

i know this is a little early [since the linkup won't be until friday], but i wasn't sure how much i will want to blog after my wisdom teeth surgery tomorrow.

pumpkin (of course!), M mug, mulling spices, fall sprinkles for baking, candy corn, peanut butter mms, fall candle, and hot cocoa! amanda really spoiled me.

i absolutely love everything!  i just finished eating all the candy corn [because i obviously won't be able tomorrow] and am enjoying a mint hot cocoa right now in that beautiful mug.  i came home early from work today because of nor'easter athena so a warm drink and sweats have been perfect!
kitty's been relaxing too!

here is the pretty card amanda sent me:

i know amanda will post what i gave her, but here is a little teaser of everything i sent.  make sure you go check out her blog!

all i know is that i'm definitely looking for another [possibly holiday or santa] swap to participate in soon - this was so much fun!  i would even love to host or co-host my own swap someday!

thank you to kristin and allie for putting this fantastic one together.

a whole lot [of absence and randomness]

i've been a bit mia lately.  i had an accident while pumpkin carving on halloween so typing/being on a computer while at work has been about enough for me.
oh, and christmas cups on november 1st?!?!
i will also be getting a few of these taken out on thursday, so i probably will not be back for a bit.
bye bye, wisdom teeth
here are a few random things going on/i'm loving:

1. songs by carrie underwood and one republic

2. my next half marathon is also less than 11 weeks away - time to get my run on.  why do i always choose races in the winter?  when i get home from work, it's always dark, so once again i will have to perfect the art of running with a headlamp.

3. SO MANY funny things on buzzfeed lately.
- did anyone get to see "wreck it ralph" this weekend? here are a few things you didn't know about my pixar fav, the toy story trilogy.
- titanic and aladdin? totally the same movie
- foods you'll never get to eat again (however, find a friend in europe - they actually still have crispy mms aaand i still have a few four lokos stashed away from college haha)
- halloween with neil patrick harris's family. (i think it's hysterical how every family member, even gideon and harper, have the same expression 2 years in a row.)
- adam levine: you are the man.
- and just because the election is today. don't forget to vote!

4. new work wardrobe: i am especially fond of the hot pink embroidery.

5. look at my sweet little friend at work [my boss's daughter] about to take a nap in our supply cart.

6. sneak peak at the lovely package i got in the mail today from my pumpkin swap partner, amanda! thanks again to kristin and allie for putting the whole thing together.

7. and THE BEST news of the past week: A BOYS MEETS WORLD SEQUEL SHOW!!!  follow ben, danielle, and ryder on twitter to keep up on all the latest news like i will be!

linking up with jane!

where's halloween, waldo?

what a great halloween!  this was my first real halloween as an "adult."  last year, we had the crazy halloween snow storm, and the year before that i was in college [so that or anything before it counts as a kid halloween].  i'm so short that even though my senior year of college i got away with trick-or-treating, so this was my first year giving out candy.

after wearing my costume to work, i came home and carved a few pumpkins with my roommates.  then we watched hocus pocus and halloween pretty little liars and gave out candy.  now [as i write this] we're watching dvr'd halloween episodes of boy meets world, and eating all the candy that our 20 trick-or-treaters didn't take.

hope you all had the best halloween!
coworkers: my boss, waldo, little bo peep, and a painter

pumpkin carving - they quickly broke out the dremmel

all ready for the kiddos (and yes, that is a severed finger on the step)

all decorated
spoooooky

the kitties even dressed up, they were "fancy merp" and "fancy roxy"

pumpkins: our house number and guts pumpkin

and what's halloween without ADORABLE kids in costumes?

happy halloween! love, the waldos
