Wedding Wednesday: Thank You

Well, today is my last day co-hosting Wedding Wednesday!  I just want to say thank you to every single one of you.  To those readers who followed along and commented on these posts week after week, and to those fellow brides who shared your own wedding preparations and recaps, I am so appreciative to have shared this wonderful journey with all of you over the last two years, since he popped the question.

I've shared everything from bloopers to Etsy favorites, our venues to how-tos, and personal moments to more love than any person deserves in a lifetime.  It's been such a fun journey to live through this blog, and I am so happy to be married to my love!

For my last Wedding Wednesday, here are a few final favorites from our wedding day...

Alright, it's officially time to sign off!  Out with the old and in with the new!  You can link up here this week, but don't forget next week to head over to Macy or Nikki's blog for Wedding Wednesday.  I can't wait to keep following along with Wedding Wednesday to see all of your wedding planning and recaps!

Summer Adventures: Edisto Island

On Saturday afternoon, Mike and I took the 45 minute drive from Charleston out to Edisto Island to check another adventure off our summer bucket list.  Ever since Erika posted about Botany Bay this spring, I knew it was definitely our kind of place to explore.  The 3,363 acre Botany Bay Plantation wildlife preserve was once two plantations in the early 1800s, but now houses tons of animals and plants.  You can read more about the area here.  Because it's a preserve, there are huge fines (close to $500) for taking anything (including sea shells) off the preserve.  So, for that reason, Botany Bay beach is covered with amazing shells and is so beautifully natural!  Even though Botany Bay beach is only part of the plantation, it was definitely my favorite.  We also took the 3 mile driving tour around the plantation.  I highly suggest making the trip out there to see it if you're ever in Charleston!
The drive into the plantation.  Suggestion: if you don't have a truck, SUV, or Jeep, reconsider this trip haha!

So many pelicans!

Week(end) Update + A Giveaway

Hey everyone!  Hope y'all had a good weekend.  Linking up with Biana, Ashley, and Bella to share what we've been up to:
1 // Last week while I was working, two adorable ducklings came running towards my group of students.  We looked all over for the mama duck but could not find her or any other ducks.  I called a bunch of different wildlife groups to find one to ask about ducks and what to do with these babies.  Finally, I found one that wanted to take them to their reserve, but they wouldn't be able to pick them up for a few hours, so I brought the babies home, and as you can see, they definitely thought Mike was their mom.

2 // On Saturday, we had our kickball team over for a sleeve-cutting/pool party.  It's over 90 degrees at 9:00 at night when our games take place... no one has time for cotton sleeves.  Lots of Kan Jam and pool time ensued.

3 // Saturday evening, we took a drive out to Edisto to finally explore Botany Bay.  Can't wait to write more about this more and share some photos this week.

4 // Oh, the food.  We made so many of my favorites this weekend: pasta salad for our Saturday pool party and definitely the best pinned recipe I have ever made - Korean Beef Bowl Sunday for dinner.

Lastly, I teamed up with a few ladies for a $75 PayPal giveaway!  Who doesn't love free money?  Wondering what to do with 75 extra dollars in your pocket?  Check out some of Sarah's great ideas.
