Fun to Run Races

After starting my half marathon training last week, it got me thinking how much better I train and eat when I'm working towards something.  Here are a few of the races I think are fantastic.  Many of them are run [no pun intended] across the country - so check out some of these links:

Run For Your Lives

Run For A Charity
Location: All over

Virtual Race

Type of race: 5ks and up
Why? Not like racing with others?  This would be perfect for you!  There are tons of virtual runs online [usually for a charity]: some with specific dates, some with a month span to complete the mileage, some that track your progress, and some that go on the honor system, but all fun!  Tons of these can also be found on Active.

I like the idea of the races with obstacles. I'm not a very strong runner, but it would be fun to at least try to conquer different obstacles!

It is great that you are a runner! I show a lot of interest in sports. I am from Jamaica. I am now following your blog in several ways. I found your blog on the Comment Promise Blog Hop. All the very best in your races.

Great list! We did the Warrior Dash a few years ago and it was fun but really hard!! Another virtual race to check out- Rebecca's Run! Fellow blogger Rebecca's sister started this to help her raise money for her cancer treatments- http://www.rebeccasrun.blogspot.com/

Some of those races are pretty wild. I've always wanted to see the Warriors Dash or Tough Mudder, if not just for taking photos. Might even be fun to do one and somehow where a video camera.

As for that Krispy Kreme one ... oh my. That might be dangerous!
