Wake Me Up When September Ends...

Flashback Friday: remember that Green Day song?

Yeah, throughout high school and college, that was the song of the fall for me.  I was always did well school and enjoyed it once I got there, but I hated the end of summer, actually having to do school work, and cold weather.

Yes, I know, I must be the worst blogger in the world to hate September and fall.  I don't drink hot beverages, I don't like anything "pumpkin spice," I'm allergic to pecan pie, putting on a jacket to be outside is the worst, I hate when the sun sets early, and mostly I just hate the thought of winter coming soon.

Well, this time around, it's going to be different.  [Well, starting today... a few nights ago I put on Uggs and a hoodie for a walk around the block with Mike when it was 60 degrees and complained the whole time...]  I'm not going to let this month slip away anymore.  Yes, the weather isn't my favorite, but here are a few reasons why I'm going to make September and fall rock from now on:

- MY WEDDING: we set a date! September 20, 2014!  From now on, at least I will be able to enjoy our anniversary in September!

- My birthday: October 3rd is my day and I looooove my birthday!

- Uggs... yes, all you fashionistas, I still wear my Uggs on a daily basis... and with leggings. I choose comfort over style on a regular basis.

- Halloween Oreos and Reeses: heck yeah! and the double-stuffed goodness is even better deep fried!

- Television: some of my favorites are fall shows - HIMYM,  Revenge, SVU, and The League are or will be back this month!

- Halloween costumes: I've always loved shopping for them and now Mike and I are all about the couple costumes.  Last year we were Waldos!  Any suggestions for this year?

Oh yeah, had to throw in a couple Flashback Friday photos too!

- I don't have to go back to school anymore!!!

- UConn football

- The World Series
My parents brought me to game 1 of the WS in 2009

- Sleeping with the windows open

- The leaf blower: it is my favorite power tool, after all.

- Flannels: and having an awesome job when I can wear them everyday!

- Cider mills with apple fritters and petting zoos

- Hard Ciders: you already know my love for these!

I'm totally planning a post for why I absolutely LOVE fall that is going up next week, so make sure you check that out because I will give you bounds of reasons to love this time of year (although... I'm not a pumpkin person either with the PSL) Reeses, CHECK! Birthdays, CHECK! (EEkk... so glad you reminded me yours is coming up). TV Shows, CHECK!! (Very excited!!!) and omg... did we ever discuss this!? Nick and I were Waldos the year before last!!!! Last year we were Patty Mayonnaise and Quail Man lol, but seriously.. had no clue y'all did waldo. I love Fall, I just wish it got a little chillier here in the South :( I'm still waiting for my sign of fall to be here!

Mmm...Halloween Reese's pumpkins...the trees that come out for Christmas time are good, too.

I do get a little tired of the pumpkin spice craze, too. I order one or two of the frappuccinos from Starbucks and that's it. If anything, I like to do the baristas a favor by not asking them to make yet another one of those!

Screw fashion rules...you bought the boots, you wear them whenever you want!

Congrats on setting a date! Woohoo! The thought of winter being around the corner, for me, is the only bad thing about fall. Love the reeses pumpkins. I've never tried apple fritters, but I looove corn fritters. :)
