Halloween Decor

Contrary to our love of decorating everything for Christmas, we are not huge Halloween decorators.  [...We save our energy for eating Halloween candy.]

Last year, we put up a few caution tapes, but this year we decided to go a bit more traditional route.

Almost everything was bought at Michael's, but I did have time for one craft.  I looove paint chips.  Mike and I paint so much that we I don't feel bad stealing a few extras every once in a while to do a few crafts.  Last year, I made one off Pinterest for Easter [check that out] and this year I decided on a Halloween banner!

Here's the finished product with some of our Michael's decorations...

And outdoor decorations.  I think some pumpkin carving is a MUST this weekend!

How are you getting ready for Halloween?
Are you dressing up this year?

I like your craft idea of using paint chips to make a candy corn banner! I decorated a little this weekend and was planning to do more, but I might just call it done now. For some reason I just haven't had the energy. (Maybe I'm saving my energy for eating candy too). Your front porch is beautiful by the way :)

Paint Chips can be so fun! I'm loving the banner! I'm hoping to carve pumpkins, I'm just not sure yet when the perfect time will be. I haven't decorated much for Halloween in the past and I won't this year because I'm currently living with my parents, but I hope next year I'll be in my own place where I can go all out!
