Boots and Pants and Boots and Pants

Phew, what a whirlwind birthday week it's been for Mister Mike!

Like I said in his birthday post, we went snowboarding two weekends ago, and that was definitely only the very beginning of his birthday celebrations!

On Monday, his birthday scavenger hunt began.  I left him a clue each morning [I leave for work before he wakes up] for him to find his present somewhere in the house... or in one case, at work, when I threw it in his coworker's car before snowboarding haha!  I also made him cupcakes to bring to work.

Monday night, his dad took us out to an AMAZING dinner at the best steakhouse!  Yummm... filet mignon, crab cake, amazing bread, and even free birthday cheesecake!

All week, we watched his favorite tv shows, spent time together, and continue to work away at our basement laundry room renovation [updated photos soon]!  The only time I left him all week was to have a night out with my girls.  I've become very good friends with one family at work, so every few weeks, the girls and I play golf and I take them out to dinner.  Don't worry, we made sure to bring Mike home a Friendz!

Friday night, we went on a little typical date night of golf and pizza, and Saturday we had his birthday party!  Of course, I made more cupcakes, another one of his favorites [Oreo truffle cupcakes] and Jello shots!!  I always like to "theme" his birthday parties, so 2 years ago was pirates, last year was St. Paddy's, and this year was Mardi Gras!

They were supposed to be purple, green, and yellow for Mardi Gras... I got all but one right!

My girls' dresses came in for my wedding and my dress came in for Liz's [to my right] wedding, so we obviously had a fashion show

Flip cup gang

4 am strobe light darts with the bridal party... worst. idea. ever.

Even though Mike was the birthday boy, Shadow was the MVP of the night.  Because we got her in November, she had never been around for one of our big parties.  Well, she was a hit!  Everyone wanted to hold her, and she just walked in and out of flip cup, rubbing against people all night.  She LOVED the attention!

And just in case you were wondering about the title of this post - has anyone seen this commercial?  Shadow's back legs also look like she has "boots with the fur," so we sing the commercial when we see her haha.
