Copycat Starbucks Shaken Black Iced Tea

It's really no secret that I have a Starbucks VentiShakenBlackIcedTeaWithThreePumpsOfClassic problem.
That $2.82 is starting to wear a pretty big hole in my pocket.  I also have this fear that when we move to South Carolina, there won't be a Starbucks on my way to work #firstworldproblems.  For these reasons, I decided to spend last week perfecting my own Starbucks-inspired iced tea, and I think I've got it!  The best part is it only costs about 40 cents per cup!

- 2 English Breakfast teabags
- Hot water
- Cold water
- Ice
- Sugar packets

1. Fill an old Stabucks Venti cup with ice.
2. Steep 2 teabags in a small coffee cup of hot water for 5 minutes.
3. Pour hot tea over ice to the top black line on the Starbucks cup.
4. Dissolve sugar in a little more hot water in small cup. I hate sugar crystals at the bottom of iced tea, and this works really well! [I've found that each sugar packet is about a pump of classic syrup at Starbucks.]
5. Add sugar syrup to tea and fill the rest of the way with water!

Look at you! Bravo!! I love SBucks passion tea lemonade in the summers, and my newest thing is a coffee frappe with skim milk. I need to figure out my own copy cats so i stop spending the dough. :)

Starbucks is so expensive. What a great way to make it at home.
