Our Bridal Party Getaway

This winter, Mike and I had the idea that we'd love to get all of our bridal party together for a weekend before the wedding.  Well, we put it out there in January and somehow we found one weekend between May and September that 12 twenty-somethings were all free.  Let me tell you, that little fact that I now live 900+ miles away in South Carolina was NOT going to stop me from going.  I paired it with some wedding appointments, including my first dress fitting [!!!], and I made a long weekend out of it.

Friday, we all packed up [5 cars across 3 states] and headed to Otisfield, Maine where Mike's family has a fantastic little cabin and camp right on Pleasant Lake.  We hadn't been there in two years and boy was it nice to be back!
Well, I have to say, it was the best weekend ever and everything went off without a hitch.  Our wedding is going to be absolutely amazing and we are so thankful that everyone could come and really get to know each other!  We really do have 10 of the best friends that anyone could ask for.  Here's what we did...

Immediate jump in the lake when we got there...
We swam [and kayaked] across the lake [3/5 of a mile] and back!
Spent lots of time out on the dock
Lawn games... tailgate toss, Polish horseshoes, and Kan Jam
Ate... a lot...
omg that "girl crack" was amazing!
And lots and lot of cuddling...

What a fun weekend! Its always so hard to find a weekend that everyone is free, especially nowadays.
