Summer Bucket List Check-In

Well, somehow we are halfway through the summer!  In my mind, summer goes through September (since it's so hot in Charleston), so I'm giving myself more time than just until Labor Day for my summer bucket list.  Looking forward to a few days filled with fun, I thought it'd be cool to see what I've been up to and what I might be able to check off this weekend...

- Start running again: I need to have one more small eye surgery at the beginning of August, but I SWEAR, I'll start after that!  Mike and I did sign up for the Light Side 10k at Disneyland, too.
- Finish visiting every brewery in Charleston: Freehouse, Tradesman, Oak Road, Frothy Beard, Cooper River Brewing Company, and Ghost Monkey: well, none of those, but I did go to Edmund's Oast, who brews all their own beer, a couple weeks ago!
- Bike ridebikes are still at our apartment on the porch - whoops!
- Meet our neighbors: met a few so far!
- Throw a housewarming party: it'll happen once we're all unpacked - see bullet below.
- Unpack all boxes by September 1st: well, it's not September 1st yet, so I have time!
- Play 3 new golf courses: one down - Crowfield
- Try 5 more new restaurants in Charleston: check - Wasabi, LoLA, Edmund's Oast, Community Pizza House, and 82 Queen (Their jambalaya below...yum! Their she crab is also killer!)
- Expand my wardrobe: rompers (check), off-the-shoulder looks (check), distressed denim, stripes (check), and more white pieces
- Avoid tan lines at all cost through July 30th: I AM SO CLOSE!!
- Plan 3 weekends to new cities to take with our companion pass: Anyone have a suggestion for this??
- Attend a free movie night or event in Charleston: Or a suggestion here?

Did you have a summer bucket list this year?  If so, how's it going?

Summer ends in September in my opinion too! I have trying new restaurants on my list too and haven't done too well in that area. I'm going on a bachelorette trip this weekend so I'll be able to knock one off! You've been doing a bunch of fun stuff, enjoy your weekend!

You've done one of the best things, tried all those restaurants! I think summer ends at the end of September, you have plenty of time! Have a great weekend!

Ooo that's tough! What cities have you been to? I think San Francisco would be a fun place to visit!

I have suggestions for you for weekend trips- New Orleans, BALTIMORE, Seattle (if you have a long weekend), Austin. I love all of those places and they are great weekend spots. LA, SF and SD are all great as well, but would need longer than 2 days :/ Try to visit SF or SD when you got to Disneyland!

We were thisclose to signing up for the Light Side 10k with Dave's mom, but then we booked Disney world for November. I think we will do it with her when it is back in Orlando!

The other day Michael asked if I wanted to do the Race For the Cure 10K in September... Two things, haven't run in forever, the longest I've EVER run is the distance of a 10K, but on our own, not actually in a race. Once. Like a year and a half ago. So I ran for the first time in forever yesterday with the treadmill on an incline...my legs are SORE today.

We also bought bikes recently, which was kind of a bucket list/goal list item for us!

I really want to get a romper too! I've had them in the past and I have a jumpsuit, I just haven't been able to find a romper I've loved. Same with off the shoulder things! I really want to get on that train!

So many awesome new fashion choices! I need to jump on trying a romper. A.K.A. I need to just be brace and DO IT!

Have a WONDERFUL weekend, and congrats on making it this far with no tan lines ;) That is a strong feat, especially while living at the beach!

I didn't know Charleston had so many breweries but those would be fun to cross off the list one by one. That black off-the-should-dress looks awesome on you
