Five on Friday

Happy Friday, y'all!  I hope everyone had a great first week of the new year.  I have to admit, I'm happy it's almost the weekend.  This one got me.  While it started out warm (record-breaking 80 on Tuesday!), it's dropped every day, and there's a chance it might even snow here tomorrow.  I know what I'll be doing: watching football, Netflix, and definitely not helping those New Year's resolutions.  Here's what I've been up to:

Lilly Overload: Did anyone else shop the After Party Sale (eventually) yesterday?  What a mess the morning was, but I was pleasantly surprised with how much Lilly made up for it with TONS of inventory.  There are a few more hours, and if you're looking for some fun pieces, here are my favorites:
Essie sleeveless in Multi Roar of the Seas ||| Ellie shorts in Gypsy Jungle ||| Amberly swingy dress in Iris Blue Casa Azul ||| tassel necklace ||| Lilah romper ||| Kelly ankle pant in Indigo Sunken Treasure ||| boxed soap set ||| Egret top in Multi Tile Wave

Healthy eating: Like I said this week, getting healthy is one of my resolutions this year.  I've started looking up healthy recipes using my Crockpot on Pinterest.  Typically, we always make really heavy, saucy dishes - but if I can combine good food with easy cooking, what's not to love?

Giveaway: Have you checked out my Sephora Instagram giveaway yet?  Today is the last day to enter, so make sure you do: @megd_taylor
Hawaii: Mike and I are making our first trip to Hawaii later this winter.  We are staying at Ko Olina and are looking for suggestions on Oahu!  All we know so far is that we will be golfing, checking out all the beaches, and visiting Pearl Harbor but any restaurant, beach, or fun things to do would be awesome!

Charleston Blog Society: Last night was our January event at the cutest little fabric and sewing class shop in Charleston, Five Eighth Seams.  They taught us how to sew our own infinity scarves and Liz from @charlestonweekender gave a fantastic Instagram talk!  Thanks to @aloadofcraft for the first two photos!

You guys are going to have the best time in Hawaii - I haven't visited that island but we went to Maui for our honeymoon and had the best time! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

Love your Lilly favorites! Those bright colors do help with a "sunny state of mind", this time of year especially! It's currently -2 degrees here...which makes your travel plans sound even better too!! ;) I'm so excited for you! We are hoping to head to Hawaii in the not-too-distant future so I'll be looking forward to seeing/hearing all about it when you return! What a fun Charleston Blog Society event you attended! Very cool that you learned how to make an infinity scarf, and can I just add that your earrings in that pic are gorgeous!! Enjoy your cozy weekend plans!!

Wanna trade temps? I'll take 80 over the 8 we've been having lately ;)

I suggest while in Hawaii that you check out Disney's Aulani Resort. My sister in law said its fun to visit and say you've been there even if you aren't staying there. https://resorts.disney.go.com/aulani-hawaii-resort/

AH! So fun! I loved Oahu! You must go to a luau. I enjoyed the one at Paradise Cove a lot more than the one at the Polynesian Center. You MUST also visit the Dole pineapple plantation, take the tour, and try the pineapple ice cream! It's fantastic! Hope ya'll have fun!!

I need to check out your crock pot board. I love using it on the weekends for good dinners & not having to leave the house.

Hawaii sounds so fun!! We are all about health in our house this year and freezer/crockpot meals are our favorite. I made 22 on Monday and froze them so that we don't have an excuse to eat out this month!

I totally agree on the Lilly Sale - such a mess but I felt like they had more inventory and items were sticking around longer!

I am SO excited for the dress I snagged in the after party sale! I can't wait for it to warm up so I can wear it. AND I LOVE Oahu! It's my old stomping grounds so I can give you tons of ideas. :)
