Weekend Update

There is a lot changing around us over the next few weeks.  In the next month, our roommates are moving out [to Boston and LA], a couple of friends just closed on a house, and another one is moving to FL.  So, basically, we wanted to spend as much time as possible with all of these people, and it turned into one of the best weekends in a long time.

Wednesday:
Mike and I played golf with Lindsay [our friend who is moving to FL] and her boyfriend Justin [who lives in NC], and went to a great Mexican restaurant.  Mike and I LOVE Mexican food [as do they], so we will definitely go back.  We talked about 4th of July plans, and we decided to spend the day with them.

Thursday:
As you might have read on Thursday morning, I had no idea what we were doing.  As many of my friends know, I'm all about the planning and carry around TWO planners with me [blog and life] where ever I go.  [No, they cannot be on my phone, I need to see everything in front of me at all times.]  Well, I think Mike was verrryyy proud of how unplanned I was on Thursday!  We let Lindsay and Justin take the lead and do all the "New England" things they wanted.  We went to Mohegan Sun Casino for the hottest part of the day, my hometown of Westerly, RI for the beach, and finally up to Narragansett, RI for a seafood dinner and fireworks.
Weirdest part of the day?  Our friends, Kane and Rex, who just closed on a house, were on the same beach as us, so we got to spend all afternoon with them, as well.  We were even on the beach until 7 or so.  I love late days at the beach!  Oh, and it's weird because we were an hour and a half from home!

The waves were amazing!

Friday:
I did not have to work, but Mike did, so I did a lot of cleaning.  Our house hasn't been cleaned in a while, so that was a great feeling.  When Mike got home, we were invited to Kane and Rex's house for  a party at their rented house.  Basically, it was an awesome white trash party.  We played yard games, shot gunned beers, blasted country music, and slipped and slided down their backyard [with the help of some dish soap].

and we continue our streak of not getting a total roommate photo... all of us minus Jeff

Saturday:
We had a great day at the house; I mowed the lawn, and we set up for Dave's going away party.  [He's the one who's moving to LA.]  The party was fantastic!  So many friends came, we played tons of lawn games [Mike and I dominated bags], and watched fireworks down the street.

SPARKLERS!!! /// and one more with Kane!

So much gaming that we brought the spotlights out!

Sunday:
I had to work, but only in the morning, so Mike and I went golfing with his friend in the afternoon.  We were both exhausted, and it was 90-something degrees, but we all had a blast!  At night, we went out to dinner with Mike's family and finished the weekend with a lazy night of Criminal Intent.

Looks like y'all had a fun weekend! I love Mohegan Sun! We go there pretty often! And that beach looks so fun too! Was the water warm enough to get in?
