Virginia is for Lovers

I'm taking a break from my wedding posts to share a late weekend update on the beautiful wedding we attended this weekend in Virginia.  Brooke was a beautiful bride and Eric was beaming from ear-to-ear!

We arrived on Saturday and decided to go into DC to explore.  We got off the Metro, turned down and street and saw this: Taste of DC.  So much for monuments and memorials... 2 hours of food sounded great to us!

Afterwards, we met up with the bridal party after the rehearsal at the Lost Rhino Brewing Company for some beers and great food.

On Sunday morning, the wedding wasn't until 1:00, so we checked out a local farm, got some cider, and did some of fall things we've been missing in SC.

The wedding was at a beautiful country club in Haymarket, Virginia.  The weather was perfect for their outdoor ceremony, and it overlooked the 18th hole of the golf course.

How cute this their son, the "Junior Best Man"?

You were up in my neck of the woods! I actually almost went to Taste of DC this weekend. I was just feeling lazy, haha.

Ah! Haymarket is right down the street from me! Can I ask which country club you were at? We have a wedding a CC there next weekend, so I'm curious if it's the same place!

I've heard great things about Lost Rhino and that Food Festival looks amazing. You can never beat chicken & waffles and cupcakes!

How fun that you had time to visit DC and explore our town a bit! Hope the Taste of DC was fun - we are becoming quite the foodie city!
