Our Ceremony: The Procession

Welcome back to Wedding Wednesday!  Today I'm returning to my own wedding recaps.  It was September 20, 2014; we had gotten ready, made it to the church, and took a few photos before the ceremony.  Then, it was time for the moment I had been picturing over and over in my mind, for the past year: the noon walk down the long aisle with my dad, to my future husband.

As the guests arrived, they were greeted by these two cuties: Christopher and Andrew: Mike's cousins and our flower girl's older brothers.  How great do they look in those purple outfits to match our wedding colors?!

I hid in the limo until just before the music started and Mike walked down the aisle with his dad. As I was walking in, I caught a glimpse of him through the crack in the door (the one over Mike's dad's shoulder in the second photo).  This was the first time I saw him that day, and it definitely made it feel "real."

I joked with my Maid of Honor all morning that it hadn't hit me yet.  When I saw him and heard the music playing... that did it, and this was my reaction, followed by a little girls powwow.

Three of Mike's groomsmen joined him at the alter, and the procession continued with Mike's best man walked his grandmother down the aisle followed by his final groomsman walking my mom down the aisle.  Lastly, before the doors closed, and my dad and I got ready, all my girls, starting with my amazing flower girl, made their entrance.

The doors flung open, and it was my turn with my dad.

Mike and I locked eyes and we both lost it.  Ha - I got him!  I won't post the photo of just

And then, it was time for the ceremony... which obviously started with a few laughs (why? of course I don't remember haha).  Next week I'll be back with photos from the ceremony!

Now it's your turn! Share your own post with Macy and me for our weekly Wedding Wednesday linkup below:

It didn't hit me either until I met my dad to walk down the aisle and then suddenly...bam! So many emotions! But by the time I got to Alan, I was all smiles and stayed that way all day long. Hope your story is the same!

Okay, this post brought tears to my eyes. The emotions are clear through the photos and you look stunning. The photo of your girls all around you, and the one of you looking through the door are my favorites. You had a perfect wedding!

Great pictures lady! I caught Keith with tears in his eyes too (that he totally denies), he was super nervous the entire time and I had to whisper to him that he'll be fine, he won't break the glass or spill the sand etc.

This just made me tear up! I remember my wedding day and it wasn't until I heard the music start that it got real for me also. I also got really nervous, which I didn't really expect. Your church is beautiful, what a great setting. Can't wait to see more of the ceremony next week :)
