Weekend (F)eats

Today I'm taking a page out of my brunch buddy Jillian's book and sharing a whole collage of "weekend good things" (aka food goodness) since we just seemed to take so many photos this weekend.  Warning: food photo overload ahead.
Friday night was pretty low-key: we tried a new Italian place right down the road and came home to catch up on the week's shows.  We've been so concentrated on HOC (which we also finished Friday) that we didn't watch any of our usuals until the weekend: Archer, Modern Family, Black-ish, or PLL.  Saturday morning, I told Mike we were going out for a surprise breakfast on my way to check in with work, and, boy, was it a good one.  We over-indulged a bit but got donuts at Glazed (raspberry-frosted and dark chocolate-filled) and biscuits at Callie's Hot Little Biscuit.  We walked around downtown a while and might have also stopped into King Street Cookies for my favorite cookies ever.  Saturday night was for homemade dinner, Mike's own fuzzy navels, and a new Netflix love: Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.  Seriously, Tina Fey and Robert Carlock did it again - SO funny.  On Sunday, I met up with Shelby and Jillian for brunch at The Park Cafe.  It was delicious, and we always have so much to talk about.  Afterwards, Mike and I had a good range practice session and I finally packed for Dallas.  (Someone doesn't want me to go ;) - or was just sleepy haha.)

So, I'm off to Dallas today, be sure to follow along with my IG for all the updates AND make sure you stop by today at noon for a fun surprise!  As for the blog, don't worry, I have some posts planned over the next few days and can't wait to update y'all on what I've been up to later in the week!

Have you been to Dallas before?  Is there anything special I should do while I'm there?  And how was your weekend??

Linking up for Weekend Recap, Weekending, and Monday Madness!

I've been to Dallas. I didn't get to the JFK museum or spot where he was shot but that would be on my list when ugh back. I just find it so interesting that it has never been officially solved! I hear Fort Wirth is beautiful if you have time and transportation to get there.

The extent of me being in Dallas was the airport layover to/from Puerto Vallarta. I can attest that Terminal A stinks in terms of food and things to do if you have a wait so dart on over to Terminal D for a lot of shopping/food etc. Trust me, you'll find a lot there - and the tram is fun :)

Your weekend looks so delicious!!
Definitely check out Nick & Sam's for dinner and the Iron Cactus for lunch! The arboretum is beautiful and the Neiman Marcus flagship store is right down town and shopping in the West Village is great!

I got distracted by donuts and forgot all I wanted to say....but PLL!!! YES!!! I am always happy when I see other adults watching that show. It is maddening to me that we never get answers and yet I am hooked! You are the third person who has mentioned Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt today...I have got to check in to that too! Have a great week!
