Curl Up with a Good Look

I was compensated for the following post by Irresistible Me, but, as always, all opinions are my own.
As y'all know, this weekend was our anniversary.  We celebrated a little early with a night out on Kiawah Island the night before our actual anniversary.  I wanted a special and unique look for our anniversary, so I thought back to the year before when I had the most perfect curls under my veil.   My hair is normally pin straight and getting any volume from it has been nearly impossible in the past.  I was so excited when Irresistible Me offered to send me their Sapphire 8-in-1 Curler.  It arrived just in time for our anniversary, and I was excited to try it out on Saturday afternoon.
The first thing I noticed was how many pieces it contained.  Marketed as an "8-in-1" curler, obviously it had 8 interchangeable barrels and the wand base, but it also came with a heat-resistant glove to help with styling and a stand to keep from burning your countertop (been there, done that - sorry, college dorm room), all in a fantastic heat-proof carrying case.  After choosing a barrel (first the 25/13mm conical shape), I was really impressed with how quickly it heated up - less than 20 seconds to 370 degrees!  I curled two-inch sections at a time, like the manual suggested, and held the curls on the wand for about 8-10 seconds.  I used a little bit of hairspray - the humidity in the Lowcountry is no joke - and I was very impressed with how well the curls stayed in place all night.
I was also really excited to get to wear my bridal shower outfit again plus a pair of beautiful Tacori earrings Mike gave me right before we went out for our anniversary.  Husband is good at surprises!
Then on Sunday, in between football games, I had some fun with the other barrels to try a couple of different looks.  First was the largest barrel (32mm) for soft, loose curls.  My hair is pretty short right now, but I can definitely see myself wearing this look to work.  (This product will also be a fun incentive to let my hair keep growing and resist the urge to chop it off every time I go to get a "trim.")  It only took about 10 minutes, but after a little practice, I could see myself getting out the door with just over 5 minutes of styling!
After that, I thought it'd be fun to try a little updo with the smallest barrel (13mm).  I put my hair in a low side ponytail, curled the ends, and pinned some of them up.  This whole look took about 15 minutes and was really fun to do.
My favorite aspects of the Sapphire 8-in-1 Curler are: the versatility of the wand with the 8 different styling methods, the tourmaline technology with negative ions that keeps hair from becoming frizzy, and the auto shut off feature (sometimes I'm a little forgetful!).
Not only does Irresistible Me's website feature great hair tools like this, they also sell signature hair extensions and hair care products.   See something you like?  First time shoppers can get 20% off their entire first order with the coupon code: GET20OFF.

It looks beautiful! I've given up on curling, or doing anything, to my hair in the summer here because it frizzes out to be a lion's mane no matter what. BUT once it starts getting cooler I plan to start taking care of myself again haha.

Love it, so gorgeous!! My hair has natural curl, but for some reason doesn't usually hold curl from a curling iron very well?? Probably because I'm not doing it right!

Your hair looks great in all of these! I need to look into one of those curling irons, I have so many right now but I really only like one of them. I want some new looks with this short hair!

I'm naturally curly and usually straighten my hair so I'd love loose curls like this if it would do it. May need to check it out!

My favorite curling wand is the Nume wand! It took me a little while to get the hang of using a wand but now I love the results! - Svetlana @Life With a Side of Wine
