Weekend Recap: A Tradition Unlike Any Other

Wow, how is it Monday already?  I hope y'all had a great weekend.  I'm hoping this next week flies by because my sister-in-law and her boyfriend will be in Charleston for the first time this weekend, and we're so excited to show them around!  Here's what we did last weekend...

Friday night, we relaxed and recuperated from our Thursday adventure to the Masters (aka we did nothing).  We went for a walk, and I made strawberry shortcake.  Oh, and I changed my Instagram and Twitter handle - more than enough excitement for me for one night haha!

As for Saturday, we definitely used up all of our weekend energy in this one day.  Charleston Culinary Tours was kind enough to let us attend their new Charleston Distilleries Tour, and I'll be back later this week with my recap of that!  We visited all three Charleston distilleries: Striped Pig, High Wire, and Charleston Distillery, and went to Burwell's afterwards for happy hour.  We spent the rest of the afternoon walking around downtown, and headed home for the last hour of Masters coverage before heading right back downtown for a friend's party.  Two of our kickball teammates' birthdays' are within the next week, so we went to a college-style house party where we were definitely "the old ones."  Regardless, we killed it at beer pong and went undefeated.  We ended the night walking around Upper King and getting a delicious Callie's biscuit with icing and sprinkles.

Let's be real, The Masters ended on Sunday, so you know we didn't leave the house.  (And if you didn't get the joke of my post title... it's a Masters reference ;) )  On another note, can we just talk about how beautiful these white lisianthus from The Bouqs that Mike's cousins sent us as a thank you for hosting them last week are?  Seriously, I'm obsessed, and so is Roxy.

Linking up for: Weekend Recap, Weekending, and Monday Madness!

I love how Mike is working on his golf game while the Masters is on. Haha. It reminds me of when I was little and would start doing gymnastics all over the house when the Summer Olympics were on tv. Can't wait to hear about the tour!

Haha awesome action shot of Mike and Roxy during The Masters. Totally missed the post title reference, but I'm not surprising myself with that one. I'm not huge on desserts but strawberry shortcake (or anything) is never going to get turned down! Glad y'all had a good weekend!
