True Life: I am a crazy cat lady. If you know me at all, or follow me on social media, you know that my girls are a big part of my life. Roxy and Shadow could not be more different in their personalities, likes, or even stories, but they do agree on one (and only one) thing: IAMS brand cat food.
We've had Roxy for almost 5 years and Shadow for a year and a half. Roxy is your typical rescue cat adoption; she was brought to the shelter as a very young kitten after being born to family's un-fixed house cat. We adopted her when she was 8 weeks old, and she's lived your classic cat life ever since. Now Shadow is a different story. You can read about how we found her here. Since we adopted her, we've discovered that she's a little feral (but still so friendly), plays with her toys to kill them (no toy lasts more than a couple of weeks before getting shredded around here), and definitely has alpha-cat instincts.
IAMS brand is a lifelong brand for cats (and dogs) and offers formulas by life stage and common needs. Since our girls are indoor cats, we feed them IAMS ProActive Health: Indoor Weight & Hairball Care dry food.
The food definitely gives them plenty of energy to play with their favorite toy (the laser pointer) and prevents hairballs (that can be awful in the summer when they're shedding like crazy in the heat). We love that IAMS dry foods also promote oral hygiene for healthy teeth and gums.
We buy our IAMS at Target, and it's the perfect one stop pet shop for us. On this specific trip to Target, not only did we get the above cat goodies, we also each bought a book, some shoe laces, sunscreen, and a lip balm. Yeah, you can see Mike below, scoping out the toys that the girls just "had to have" - haha!
