Weekend Adventuring

Good morning and happy Monday, y'all!  I know this post is a little tardy for a Monday, but we didn't get back from Charlotte until 4:00 this morning, so I'm a little tired this morning!

We had a great weekend with adventures all over the place.  It all began on Thursday night with a double date to Yo Bo and a night climb at Wild Blue Ropes with Erika and her husband.  We love the ropes course and hadn't been since the spring.

Looking back at old blog posts, I realized that Friday night to Saturday evening looked exactly the same as last year - haha!  I hosted a girls golf Halloween party at work again this year, and on Saturday, Mike and I went to the Mac Off for the second year in a row.  We arrived as soon as it opened, like last year, and holy moly people certainly love this event!  It was PACKED.  We still only had to wait about 5 minutes for any mac and cheese, which was nice.  My favorite was definitely Tavern & Table's burnt end mac and cheese that had barbecue brisket and a cornbread topping - yum!

Sunday morning, we headed to Charlotte with Erika and her husband for our second NFL game of the season!  Our first stop of the morning was IKEA; I really miss having an IKEA a half hour down the road like we did in Connecticut!  We bought some candles, a new comforter, a duvet, and a $2 cabinet door in the "as is" section for me to use for blog photos #bloggersecrets.  The game was really good and Bank of America Stadium is awesome!  Plus, I finally got my Cam jersey!

Lastly, don't forget that Veronica, Macy, and I are hosting our "fall in your city" linkup tomorrow!

I definitely missed having an IKEA close-by when we lived there---what a weird thing to miss?! But it's true. Looks like a packed weekend, full of fun!

That night climb looks like so much fun! I would love to do something like that.

How creative about the cabinet door. I read on another blog, they use marble shelf liner and that's seriously genius. You don't need to have a marble or granite counter for pretty pictures!

Yobo looks amazing! I haven'y seen Mexican street corn on any menus here so I had to eventually make it for myself. The Mac Off event also sounds fun!

Ropes course?! That sounds awesome! Even though I worked at IKEA for 4 years, I still love going there, but I like visiting ones in other cities so much to compare lol. YES cabinet doors are seriously the best backdrops!
