Sweet Tea Sugar Scrub

I love using hand scrubs every night before I go to bed.  On this blog, I've shared a few scrubs I've used before (that I'll link to at the end of this post), but this is my summertime go to.  It's so perfectly Southern and smells amazing.  The coarse sugar removes excess dead skin, coconut oil smooths dry skin, lemon promotes nail health, and tea softens calluses and nourishes skin.
You will need:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (liquid)
- 1 tablespoon loose leaf tea (I love Charleston Tea Plantation Green Tea for this DIY)
- juice from 1/2 lemon
- 1 mason jar
- 1 napkin
- ribbon
Simply mix all of the ingredients together until it's the consistency of coarse sand (add more lemon juice if it's too dry), and pour into a mason jar.  Use one tablespoon of scrub each night on dry hands and scrub for 30 seconds before rinsing with water.
I keep jars of this scrub on my bathroom sink as well as the one in our guest room.  It is such a simple yet sophisticated touch and definitely a guest suite essential for me.  Speaking of guest rooms, thank you to Bedowl for including me in this awesome round up - you can find even more guest room inspiration by clicking here!
If you're looking for even more scrub recipes, some of my favorites are: honey lemon, vanilla peppermint, and pumpkin spice latte.

Thank you for this recipe! My mom and I made a vanilla coconut oil scrub last year at Christmastime. We put them in mason jars and gave them out as gifts. We want to make something else similar this year. I'm saving this recipe, although I might need to make it sooner! I never thought of using tea! Love it.
