30 Rocks

Last Thursday was Mike's 30th birthday, so all weekend was spent celebrating.  If you know Mike in person, you know that he is a television fantastic, especially when it comes to comedies.  His absolute favorite show in the entire world is NBC's 30 Rock.  The number of times per day we quote this show is embarrassing, so what better way to celebrate his birthday than with a 30 Rock-inspired 30th birthday?!

It all started with a gift basket filled with different items from the show.  Anyone who gets any of these references throughout this post wins a donut in the microwave.
If you've watched 30 Rock, you know it's all about the food, so since he already had a drink, I bought him mozzarella sticks.
Then, nachos from Yankee Stadium.
I outdid myself on this one: cheesy blasters.
WHERE'S MY MAC AND CHEESE (amazing Sriracha mac and cheese recipe coming soon), complete with ham, of course.
As for party games, pin the yarmulke on the werewolf (inspired by Werewolf Bar Mitzvah) while wearing our party hats, the pointy kind.
A few rounds of Texas Doozy, too!
Last, but not least, a delicious ice cream cake!
If you were totally confused by this entire post, I get it, but don't hold my weirdness against me ;) Just go watch a few episodes of 30 Rock on Netflix, and you'll get it.  Have a great week, y'all!

Linking up with Biana today!

I get it all, as I watched it but not religiously, so is that a piece of pizza with a hotdog? Those things separately sure, together, not so sure! Sounds like he had a great birthday!

So cute! I didn't watch the show much, but I loved themed tv parties. FRIENDS is my fave sitcom, and I have always wanted to have a party around it.

GAHHHH!!! The Mozzarella Sticks reference was everything! My BFF and I say that all the time--"I have a drink...maybe they could buy us some mozzarella sticks?" Your hubby is one lucky guy to have such a creative wifey!

I was binge-watching 30 Rock for a while but I don't know when I stopped. I only got a few of the references, but I LOVE that mozzarella stick moment...something I would totally do! Haha. Annnd 'werewolf bar mitzfah, spooky, scary' pops in my head randomly and makes me laugh every time! This wins best party theme!
