Valentine's Treat: Heart-shaped Samoas

If you saw my posts earlier this week, you read that I'm all about making a Valentine's goodie every year AND that Leah sent me a great package of baking goodies for my most recent swap.  One of Mike's favorite cookies I make are my homemade samoas, so I decided to put my new baking accessories to work and make these cookies heart-shaped.

I used the same recipe that I used to make them last year.  Here is the link.  Except this time, I used different sizes of heart-shaped cookie cutters and Valentine's sprinkles to make them festive.

Once again, I forgot to buy the Werther's caramels not individually wrapped haha.

Cutting the cookie shapes.

After they baked

With the caramel/toasted coconut mixture

Seriously, they're huge this time!  Bigger than an egg.

And this recipe makes a mountain of cookies!

I hope you all have a very Happy Valentine's Day with your loved ones!

Today I'm linking up for Walkabout Wednesday and Random Wednesday!
