Celebrating Valentine's Day

Happy Friday, friends!  Anyone beginning their Valentine's Day celebrations early this weekend?  We start a new season of kickball on Wednesday, so I think we might do dinner together somewhere fun tomorrow night.  I always love sharing Valentine's recipes and DIYs on the blog, so I rounded up a bunch of ideas for you for today's Five on Friday!
1. Set the scene: Two years ago, the Charleston Blog Society hosted the sweetest styled shoot and party for Galentine's Day.  The Gadsden House in downtown Charleston was the perfect setting to share some Valentine's inspiration.  I absolutely loved the DIY table runner, place cards, and delicious desserts (obviously)!
2. Tissue Pom Poms: I shared this super easy DIY on the blog last year.  These pom poms look so cute to jazz up Valentine's Day cards or as decorations for a party!
3.  Something sweet: While I love those heart-shaped boxes of chocolate, if you make me a delicious treat for Valentine's Day, you'll have my heart forever!  Here are links to heart-shaped Carmelita Bars (delicious bars filled with caramel and chocolate chips), Peanut Butter Cookies, and Samoas (my favorite Girl Scout cookie).
4. Kids crafts: Every year at work, I host a Valentine's Day party for my girls, and these are some of my favorites: Heart-Shaped Bird Feeders and Cupid's Arrows.
5. Red and pink outfit inspiration: Last but not least, if you missed it earlier this week, here is a link to some of my favorite red and pink pieces in stores right now!
And if all else fails, go buy some festive doughnuts and watch a sappy movie!
