berry picking

this weekend, mike and i went to a great berry farm near us.  i have wanted to go blueberry picking for a long time, but when we got there, they had blueberries AND blackberries, so i was really excited!  the prices were phenomenal.  we picked blueberries, blackberries, got some pre-picked raspberries, and some honey sticks [my fav] for less than $10.  i can't wait to go back in a few weeks to pick raspberries!

does anyone remember this book?
i felt like sal all day because i was eating too many berries.

my original plan was to make this recipe i found for cinnamon crusted blueberry loaf over at little rays of sunshine... but i might have already eaten almost all of the blueberries - whoops!

cool truck out to the fields

you can't tell, but he beat me... i ate too many while picking
onto the blackberries

so close to raspberry season
they have trained falcons on site to keep other birds away from the fields
awesome view of hartford
yummmmm
