Belated Weekending

Happy March, friends!  I'm a little late recapping my weekend with Biana, but hey, we got back from Disney World (those recaps coming this week, too!) late Tuesday and promptly left on Thursday morning for my work trip to Myrtle Beach, so needless to say, it's been a whirlwind!
This was my second and Mike's first trip to Myrtle Beach.  In addition to "real" golf, we obviously, had to play putt-putt since it is the mini golf capital of the world!  We had dinner at a cool fondue restaurant I'd been dying to try - Melting Pot.  Anyone ever been there?  We went all in with the four course fondue, and, of course, my favorite was the dessert dark chocolate & crunchy peanut butter fondue.  We had a lot of fun at the Broadway area, too, especially at the dueling piano bar!

On the way home, we performed our civic duty and voted in the primary before meeting my parents at our place.  They spent a couple days with us, and it was the perfect excuse to try a couple new (to us) places around the city: lunch at Queen Street Grocery, walks back and forth around the South of Broad area, a visit to the Charleston Museum, and Coast for a fantastic dinner.  We finished the trip with a pre-birthday celebration for Mike - 30 in 2 days - eeekk!! Thanks for making him an awesome cake, mom!

The Melting Pot is my date night restaurant of choice for special occasions! May have even actually gone there twice this summer... both for my birthday :) Enjoy being back home and getting back into a routine!

What a fun trip, I had no clue that Myrtle Beach was the mini-golf capital! I went to Melting Pot last year around Valentine's Day and loved it, the dessert was definitely my favorite!

Melting Pot is awesome, but I mainly like to go for the dessert (and now you can see why!)

I LOVE the Melting Pot! We used to go for just dessert when my friends were in college and had one by their house. I have a Groupon to go to another one about an hour from us, we just haven't had the time to go. I love Myrtle Beach, how close is that to you? You have been so busy, but it's just great things!

We have a Melting Pot here and it's such a great place for date night. They also have a lot of Groupon deals so that makes it so worth it. Now I'm craving some fondue!

Now that I'm going to be an East Coaster, I will have to make a trip to Myrtle Beach just to experience real mini golf! The melting pot looks so good. I've never been.

I love the Melting Pot. If we could afford the money and the calories, we'd go a lot more!
